Let poetry entertain you wit Orosman at Zafira on Feb 4

By Sai
Orosman at Zafira
Not all of my friends know this, but I love poems! I love reading poems and I even read them with passion! I also make poems every time I'm inspired. I usually write about love and nature. My friend invited me to watch Orosman at Zafira with him, and I couldn't be more ecstatic about it!

Dulaang UP together with Bit by Bit Development Company will bring us Francisco Baltazar's Orosman at Zafira. Honestly, I haven't heard this before (am I a real loser for this? Oh well, what can I do?) and I'm very excited to see this! Upon checking online (hahaha), Orosman and Zafira is a story about three kingdoms namely Marueccos, Tedenst, and Duquela struggling for power. This will be the modern version of Baltazar's komedya (Spanish term for drama). I'm really looking forward to see this play because I heard that it will feature the strength of Filipinas and will celebrate the uniqueness of our culture.

The Rite: To see is to believe

Posted by Sai

The Rite
Inspired by true events, New Line Cinema's supernatural thriller “The Rite” follows skeptical seminary student Michael Kovak (Colin O’Donoghue), who reluctantly attends exorcism school at the Vatican. While in Rome, he meets an unorthodox priest, Father Lucas (Anthony Hopkins), who introduces him to the darker side of his faith.

Directed by Mikael Håfström (“1408”), “The Rite” uncovers the devil’s reach to even one of the holiest places on Earth. The film stars Oscar® winner Anthony Hopkins (“Silence of the Lambs,” “Wolfman”), Colin O’Donoghue in his feature film debut, Alice Braga (“Predators”), Ciarán Hinds (“Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows” films), Toby Jones (“Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets”) and Rutger Hauer (“Batman Begins,” “Blade Runner”).

Life is a Pic-a-Nic

For people the world over, the name Yogi Bear sparks the distinctive image of a certain pear-shaped gourmand in a jaunty hat and tie—a lovably larcenous pie-eating rebel who believed he was smarter than the average bear, and whose outrageous antics put Jellystone Park on the cartoon map of the world.

Speaking with affection about the “star” of his new 3D film “Yogi Bear” from Warner Bros., director Eric Brevig says, “I’ve always loved Yogi. He does things his own way. He means well, but he just can’t stop listening to his stomach, and those impulses that tell him if he grabs a pie off that table fast enough maybe he’ll get away with it. He’s like a big kid, and I think he represents that part of all of us. He may be a bear, but so much of what he does is pure human nature.”

Yogi Bear
“People smile when they think of Yogi,” says producer Donald De Line. “He’s such a timeless character. I can hear his voice in my head the instant I think of him.”

Hereafter Movie Review

By Sai
Hereafter

When I first saw the trailer of this film, I got so interested with two things:

  • What's life after death?
  • How will the movie establish its story using Matt Damon's psychic ability?
Unfortunately, I didn't get any answers :( Some of my friends told me that it was a great movie but (I'm sorry) it was pretty plain for me. Well, I think I have to watch the movie again.

The Tangled Sneak Peek

Posted by Sai

Tangled
Walt Disney Pictures presents “Tangled,” one of the most hilarious, hair-raising tales ever told.

When the kingdom’s most wanted—and most charming—bandit, Flynn Rider (voice of Zachary Levi), hides out in a mysterious tower, he’s taken hostage by Rapunzel (voice of Mandy Moore), a beautiful and feisty tower-bound teen with 70 feet of magical, golden hair. Flynn’s curious captor, who’s looking for her ticket out of the tower where she’s been locked away for years, strikes a deal with the handsome thief, and the unlikely duo sets off on an action-packed escapade, complete with a super-cop horse (named Maximus), an over-protective chameleon (named Pascal), and a gruff gang of pub thugs.

Also featured in the talented vocal ensemble is two-time Tony® Award winner Donna Murphy as Mother Gothel. Ron Perlman lends his voice to a Stabbington Brother, one of Flynn’s double-crossed partners in crime, and Jeffrey Tambor and Brad Garrett provide the voices of two of the thugs Flynn and Rapunzel encounter along the way.

Love and Other Drugs Movie Review

By Sai

Love and Other Drugs
It's a good thing I'm in a new relationship right now because if it's the other way around then I could've tripled the amount of tears that I produced when I saw this movie! I can't say anything but "Bravo!"

LOVE IS UNEXPECTED

We all heard the saying, "Love comes when you least expect it." Today I will sum it up with only three words - Love is unexpected.

Love (truly) comes when you're not looking for it. Same logic as when you're looking for a pen and you can't find it. After a few days, when you're not looking for the pen anymore, you'll find it just on top of your bed drawer. Odd isn't it? I think it's because when we're looking for something, we pay too much attention on where to find it, how to get it, and what should we do to own it. Life is a matter of proper timing.

Take a peek: Burlesque

Burlesque: Cher and Christina Aguilera

In Columbia Pictures' finger-snapping, eye-popping and atmospheric musical “Burlesque,” a time-honored tale of showbiz aspirations fulfilled, the hallmarks of a classic form of live entertainment get a dazzling, fun movie makeover.

For Ali (Christina Aguilera), a small-town girl with a big voice, there had to be somewhere her dreams could be fulfilled, rather than remain an empty goal.

Let's take a peek in Warner Bros' Yogi Bear

Posted by Sai

Everyone’s favorite pic-a-nic basket-stealing bear comes to the big screen in Warner Bros.' “Yogi Bear,” a new adventure, filmed in 3D, that combines live action with computer animation.

Dan Aykroyd stars as the voice of Yogi, Jellystone Park’s notorious troublemaker, and Justin Timberlake as the voice of Boo Boo, Yogi’s faithful pal and co-conspirator in his never-ending schemes to separate park visitors from their lunches.

Yogi Bear, larger-than-life in 3D

Yogi Bear
Shot entirely in 3D with the latest generation and ultimate system of stereo photography, Warner Bros.' new adventure comedy “Yogi Bear” delivers this blend of elements in a way, director Eric Brevig declares, “audiences have not seen before.

“This level of technology didn’t exist a year ago,” Brevig adds. “The resolution, crispness and detail we can capture with the new 3D cameras is excellent. We took this camera system into places it has never been: into the treetops and down white water rapids. We flew it from a construction crane 200 feet above the forest to get Yogi’s point of view from his makeshift glider as he swoops down to grab a picnic basket, and everyone comes along for the ride.”

Zachary Levi provides voice of dashing bandit in “Tangled”

(This is a press release)
Flynn Rider in Tangled
The ultra-confident bandit Flynn Rider is his own biggest fan, and he has long relied on his wit, charm and good looks to get out of even the stickiest situation. Zachary Levi (TV's “Chuck,” “Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel”) provides the voice of Flynn in Walt Disney Animation Studios' enchanting comedy adventure “Tangled.”

Flynn is a thief looking for the one last, big score that will allow him to finally live the life he’s always dreamed of. He's never been closer to having it all when he meets Rapunzel (voice of Mandy Moore), an odd girl with ridiculously long hair. An unlikely alliance with this girl from the tower sends Flynn on the adventure of a lifetime. “He’s a dashing bandit,” says Levi, “but I like how they turned it on its head—he’s a selfish thief while at the same time being a very charming dude. Comedy plays a huge part in this film, which is so much fun.”

Meet the guys of "Burlesque"

(This is a press release)
Burlesque
Joining Cher and Christina Aguilera in Columbia Pictures' finger-snapping, eye-popping and atmospheric musical “Burlesque” are three of the most talented actors working in Hollywood today: Cam Gigandet (“Twilight,” “Never Back Down”), Stanley Tucci (“Easy A,” “Julie & Julia”) and Eric Dane (“Valentine's Day,” TV's “Grey's Anatomy”).

Cam Gigandet, who also stars in Columbia's upcoming “Priest” and “The Roommate,” portrays Jack, the confidante and fellow musician of Ali, played by Aguilera. “The preparation that he brings into the room every day is pretty extraordinary,” director Steve Antin says of the young actor. “This very handsome, young guy with an incredible body swaggers into the room and you expect somebody really different than the person that you get to know. He’s a quiet, introverted, very thoughtful guy. He has a process that’s really interesting. He really cares about his craft and cares about what he’s doing, and he comes prepared.”

Seth Rogen in "The Green Hornet"
Arguably the funniest among the new generation of comic actors, Seth Rogen (“Knocked Up,” “Superbad”) stars in his first action-comedy as he portrays “The Green Hornet” in the 3D film from Columbia Pictures.

In the film, Britt Reid (Rogen) is the son of LA’s most prominent and respected media magnate and perfectly happy to maintain a directionless existence on the party scene – until his father (Tom Wilkinson) mysteriously dies, leaving Britt his vast media empire. Striking an unlikely friendship with one of his father’s more industrious and inventive employees, Kato (Jay Chou), they see their chance to do something meaningful for the first time in their lives: fight crime. Protecting the law by breaking it, Britt becomes the vigilante The Green Hornet as he and Kato hit the streets.

When it's Jack Black, I must watch it! Hahaha! Yes, I am a big fan of Jack Black! He's so hilarious and his facial expressions are epic! I watched Gulliver's Travel with my boyfriend and we really enjoyed it!

JACK BLACK IS THE NEW GULLIVER
Gulliver's Travel in 3D
I can still remember reading the Gulliver's Travel book way back high school for our home reading report ;) I'm not a fan of reading books then since it works as a sleeping pill for me ^_^ I like seeing things than reading them word per word :P Look at me now! I've seen it and I like it more than I did before (because I was reading it before).
