Love stories amazes most of us, especially to people like me - a die-hard romantic! With so many love stories of different angles and how they are portrayed in movie screens, it's really hard to stand out.
8 out of 10
I don't know but I think I expected too much from this film and I'm a bit disappointed. I love Robert Pattinson, don't get me wrong! I love him especially as Edward Cullen in Twilight movies. His personality in this film is actually interesting - a man who lost everything and while on the road to real life he met Marlena (Reese Witherspoon).
When I saw Christoph Waltz' face I was so ecstatic! I was excited to watch his acting and how he puts life to August Rosenbluth's character. Boy, oh boy! I'm his fan! I saw him in the movie Inglorious Basterds. I must say that he really portrays characters with a very violent personality well! He's one of the best actors that the entertainment industry has! Reese Witherspoon's acting is okay. It's not outstanding (Reese's fans, please don't hate me!). Knowing that I'm a Robert Pattinson fan, I was not moved by his acting either. Yes, there were parts where I was touched but it was not something that I would always share to people. I would not talk about it every day like what I did with Avatar, Diary of a Wimpy Kid and Easy A!
AS AN ANIMAL LOVER
I pity Rosy, the elephant, in this movie especially when August (Christoph Waltz) hit her many times. My heart was torn when I saw her body bleeding. If this movie will be outstanding, it would be because of Rosy. I love this angle of the movie rather than the love story. I think the love story is just a typical one. I've seen this plot a lot of time but the part where the movie touches hearts of people who love and advocate for animal rights was beyond fantastic! Who would ever thought that the end that we have foreseen in this movie would be twisted by an elephant. Rosy brought Jacob and Marlena together.
WATCH IT!
Here's a trailer of the movie. Watch this movie with your friends or family members and see if we have the same point of view. If you don't agree with me feel free to leave some comments below. Water for Elephants will be shown in your favorite cinemas on May 4.
